Tata Steel announced for Asia CanTech 2016
Our next keynote speaker for Asia CanTech has now been finalised with Tata Steel confirmed for the event, which takes place on 7-9 November in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Tata Steel’s Simone Vooijs, director technical, packaging & downstream operations, will be conducting the keynote speech and it will predominantly be focusing on ‘Protact, the laminated steel offering for the can making industry’.
Vooijs has a wealth of experience and has worked in the steel industry for 17 years in a variety of research, manufacturing and technical roles. In her current role, she has responsibility for customer technical service, process development, product management and product development strategies in the packaging business. She also has similar responsibilities for Tata Steel’s other advanced downstream business – Colours, Tubes.
Commenting on the announcement, Tata Steel’s Steven Dijkstra said: “Asia CanTech for Tata Steel is an exciting place to be in order to demonstrate the progress we have made with our laminated steel, Protact and to learn about the opportunities for laminates in the Asian market by discussing with market leading companies.”
Other keynote speakers confirmed for the event include Crown’s new president Robert H. Bourque Jr. and Kian Joo’s group chief financial officer, Ooi Teik Huat.
