Vietnam success
Dear All
Once again a great show! Here are the dates for next year – 29-31 October!
Vietnam proved to be a very popular choice of destination. We had a few issues as you’d expect from choosing a new location, but the moment the conference started on the Tuesday all the problems were ironed out.
We had 336 attendees, up 41% on last year (what double dip recession?). From our feedback survey, 80% of respondents said we were very good to excellent compared to other events in this industry.
The survey also asked for suggestions for next year’s Asia CanTech. The majority want us to go to China, but looking at what is happening in China next year there would just be too many shows, I guess. Bangkok came very high again in your voting, and is a strong contender as is Indonesia. I like Thailand because of the ease of visas and customs control. Some of you, like us, experienced the joys of Vietnam’s customs – and why Vietnam can’t offer a two-year multi entry visa such as I had with China, I don’t know.
Once again we had many great entries for the Asia CanTech awards and the standards were very high. Please check out the latest issue of CanTech for more on the awards and the show.
I’m flying out to Asia in a couple of weeks to look at hotels so will let you know how I get on.
