Shoe Horn
Hi All
I have been reminded that I have not written my blog for a while.
The show is going swimmingly and we are using a shoe horn to fit you all in !
When we asked you last year at Asia CanTech Bangkok where you would like us to hold the next conference, Vietnam emerged as the clear favourite – but I had no idea just how popular it would be. The response has been overwhelming and this year’s show is much bigger than last. The only problem I had was finding a big enough hotel, as most hotels in HCMC are around 250 to 300 rooms only.
The Rex is a great hotel – its location is perfect in central downtown Ho Chi Minh and it has excellent facilities for hosting Asia CanTech. We needed an overflow hotel for extra rooms, and have chosen the Hotel Continental, which is less than five minutes walk from the Rex. It is a French colonial hotel with massive rooms, so for those of you who end up there, I hope you like it. I have also arranged for some hotel staff to help you cross the roads – for those of you who have not experienced road crossing in HCMC you will see why!
We’re pleased to announce our final keynote speaker, Mr Le Hong Xanh. Mr Xanh is the managing director of Sabeco, Vietnam’s major brewery company and it will be fascinating to hear his views on this relatively young market.
