CAN-PACK INVESTS IN DUBAI AND THE PHILIPPINES

Poland-based can making group Can-Pack is increasing capacity at its Dubai plant in the United Arab Emirates.

The company is installing an additional beverage can making line which is expected to go live in the first quarter of 2014.

Cans manufactured by Can-Pack Middle East are delivered mainly to the local market and to other countries in the Gulf region.

In addition to this, Can-Pack has entered into a joint venture with San Miguel Yamamura Packaging Corporation in the Philippines.

The managing board of Can-Pack is responding to the growing demand for packaging products such as aluminium cans and ends in the Asia Pacific market.

Both companies aim to strengthen their position as the reliable suppliers in this region. The production lines currently operated by San Miguel Yamamura Packaging Corporation will be re-engineered and modernised. The modernised factory is expected to be operational by the first quarter of 2014.
