Ink Systems becomes Zeller + Gmelin’s new representative in South East Asia

As of 1 May 2020, Ink Systems Co Ltd of Thailand has officially taken over the distribution of printing inks and varnishes from Zeller+Gmelin GmbH & Co KG for the Southeast Asian region. The specialised trade company will integrate Zeller+Gmelin’s complete printing ink portfolio into its product range over the course of this year. Ink Systems has well-trained staff and a fully equipped ink laboratory so that inks can be tested on site for customers. Engineers from the fields of electronics, mechanical engineering and printing use their know-how to offer competent advice on questions relating to the printing process, as well as extensive training and support in process optimisation.

Ink Systems Co Ltd is part of the Press Systems Group (PSG) based in Samutprakan near Bangkok. The specialist dealer for products and services for the printing industry was founded in 2014 by Jane Tan. In addition to the narrow web market, its product portfolio also includes wide-web flexographic printing and sheet-fed offset printing. 2016 saw the addition of Ink Systems Co Ltd, an additional subsidiary focused on the rapidly growing printing ink business. The following year, the group expanded to include subsidiary Press Systems International Co Ltd, which specialises in the sale of UV curing systems, finishing and converting machinery and testing systems.

“We work very closely with our supply partners to ensure that we are able to offer good advice and the latest technical solutions to our customers,” said managing director Jane Tan, explaining PSG’s success. “Zeller+Gmelin’s printing ink systems thus represent an ideal addition to our product portfolio.”

Marcus Ruckstädter, general sales manager of Zeller+Gmelin, is convinced that Ink Systems is a strong partner which attaches as much importance to close and individual customer care as the Eislingen ink manufacturer itself. “This cooperation allows us to offer our Asian customers a competent local contact and further expand our position in the important Southeast Asian market.”

Ink Systems succeeds Maucher Consulting Co Ltd. For almost 25 years, the company managed by the former Zeller+Gmelin employee Silvio Maucher successfully represented the business of Zeller+Gmelin’s printing ink division in this region. The search for a new distribution partner became necessary when Silvio Maucher announced the termination of his activities for the end of 2020.
