CMB ENGINEERING CREATES NEW ROLE FOR ASIAN MARKETS

CMB Engineering has created a new role aimed at supporting the company’s sales in Asia.

The British-based maker of can making machinery has appointed Lawrence Corbally (pictured) as its sales manager for Asia.

CMB Engineering claims it has seen “strong growth” in the can making sector in Asia driven by the rising middle-class in the region, particularly in China, and a resulting demand for conveniently packaged beverages and foods.

Through the new sales manager for Asia CMB Engineering aims to help local can makers to meet this increasing demand for cans.

Since joining the company Corbally has built up almost three decades of experience with can making technology, from the manufacturing process through to installation and commissioning by serving in a range of engineering and customer service roles.

Having overseen the manufacturing of can making machinery in CMB Engineering’s Shipley plant, he has worked for the last three years as service manager, coordinating global teams of engineers to exceed customer expectations, and developing strong relationships with clients in Asia.

“CMB Engineering understands the needs of can makers in Asia, having worked closely with them as the can making sector has experienced sustained growth in the region,” said James Cozier general manager CMB Engineering.

“With this new position, our aim has been to create an engineering interface for customers, where we leverage the extensive engineering and customer knowledge held by Lawrence to provide guidance and support to local manufacturers during the sales process.

“Our customers can be confident of receiving tailored support designed to optimise their production lines.”

CMB Engineering has recently strengthened its global sales team with the creation of three dedicated Sales Manager positions. In addition to Corbally, there are also sales managers for the Americas and Europe and the Middle East.
