His responsibilities include promoting the can as a sustainable/circular package, advocating for federal and state legislation and regulation that reflect the can’s sustainability advantages, and leading the industry’s efforts to build upon the can industry’s leading recycling rates.
Based in Shipley UK, Andrew began his career at CMbE as an apprentice in 2005, he was part of the first team of young Engineers from CMbE to win Gold in the Manufacturing Team Challenge category at the World Skills UK competition in 2009. Since then, Andrew has held a number of management roles in both the Engineering and Sales departments at CMbE, gaining vast technical experience and knowledge on all CMbE machines and equipment.

Gerhard is working in the sales in the graphic industry for more than 35 years with a wide range of experience to make processes more efficient.
Starting there 1988 with SCHOBER in the field of business forms converting equipment, following 1998 with STEUER / BOBST high performance hot foil stamping machines.
With BAUER+KUNZI since 2005 in the metal decorating business and there since 2007 responsible for the sales in KOENIG & BAUER METALPRINT in SEA.
Many discussions and realized projects show the need of efficient workflow for canmakers especially in the field of metal decorating.
KOENIG & BAUER METALPRINT has unique solutions for printing, coating drying and air purification for 3pc can production.
Kalvis Jaunarajs is the Director of Global Business Development at IPS. He has a degree in mechanical engineering and extensive experience in new product development. Kalvis first entered the can industry in 2004, where he worked in Research and Development at Ball Corporation. Kalvis has been with IPS since 2011, where he has helped successfully launched numerous product lines and services, including the IPS CanSCHOOL and the IPS RapidSORT (HFI sorting system).
Director, Metal Ink Process Technology
Borpit Intawiwat has worked for INX International for over 30 years. He started out as a Research Chemist developing overprint varnishes for the offset market before heading into Metal Decorating where he helped to further the development of NoVar, LoVOC and Digital ink systems. Over the years he’s held positions such as Tech Service Chemist, Metal Deco R&D Manager and Process Chemist. He is currently the Director of Metal Ink Process Technology where he oversees the improvement and efficiencies in the manufacturing of metal decorating ink.
He is a past recipient of the NAPIM Award for Technical Achievement and continues to share his expertise at the NAPIM Summer Course held in Clemson, South Carolina.
Ulrich started his career at Mall + Herlan more than 9 year ago. As Sales Director, Ulrich Gellings is in charge for the national and international sales team and sales of machines and complete line. He gained his 30 years sales experience working for globally operating companies in the packaging and process field. He is well known as an expert in the industry and very experienced in international sales.
His extensive knowledge makes him a treasured expert in the packaging industry.
Marko has over 20 years of experience in industrial automation in various roles.
The start of his career in this area responds as a service technician focusing on robot programming and vision systems for robot guidance and quality control.
Other tasks have been as a project manager for special machine builders in surface treatment of sintered metal products.
For the past 8 years, Marko has been employed at NPB Automation in the marketing department as a technical salesman, but is today specialized in marketing and market development.
Joachim Scheuring has worked for OKS Spezialschmierstoffe GmbH in Germany for 23 years as Export Sales Manager selling specialty lubricants, corrosion protection and maintenance products to qualified partners worldwide.
He has a Business Degree from a German University, has 30 years experience in international business and is also Certified Lubrication Specialist from the US American STLE organization for tribology and lubrication professionals.
Director Market Strategy Metal Packaging
Emily Mullins is the director of Global Market Strategy for Metal Packaging Surface Technologies at Henkel Corporation. Emily joined the company in 2001 and has held various roles in operations, product line management, business development, and market strategy. Emily has 20 years of experience working in the Metal Packaging industry and shares a deep passion for recycling, sustainability, and furthering the industry’s goals to increase awareness about the sustainable benefits of metal packaging. Emily holds a degree in Chemical Engineering and an MBA, and resides in Detroit, Michigan, USA with her husband and two sons.
Daniel Hilfiker represents the third generation of Swiss engineers managing Pneumofore, the world’s oldest rotary vacuum pumps and air compressor manufacturer, celebrating more than 90 years of expertise. Daniel graduated as Mechanical Engineer at the Federal Technical Institute of Zürich, Switzerland, in 1993. He is personally engaged in R&D with strong commitment for lowest environmental impact which corresponds to minimal operational costs. He participates to worldwide conferences on regular basis, as his pneumatic theory and products are applied in many sectors including container glass production, can making, aerospace, medicine, food, petrochemical and more. Daniel is the former President of the Italian Association of Air Compressors and Vacuum Pumps Manufacturers and past Council Member of Pneurop, the European Association of Manufacturers of Compressors and Vacuum Pumps.
Regional Sales Manager (Middle East & India)
Yaser is a seasoned professional in the metal packaging industry, with over 15 years of experience in Engineering and Sales roles primality in 2pc and 3pc cans. He joined Pressco in 2016 and has been delivering innovative solutions for his clients ever since. Yaser holds a Bachelor’s degree in Aircraft Engineering and a Master’s degree in International Business Management from Kingston University, London.
Greg Frisby is the Global Industry Manager for SpecMetrix Systems at Sensory Analytics. Greg joined the company is 2005 and has led the Company to 16 consecutive years of strong sales growth. Today, Sensory is the fastest-growing optical gauge supplier in the industry, and its SpecMetrix product lines are globally recognized for innovation, process improvement, and cost-saving leadership in the metal packaging, coil coating and industrial markets worldwide.
Eduardo studied chemical engineering in the Basque Country University and joined Sun Chemical as technical manager in 1994. He then moved to the sales department in 2007 and currently holds the Global Sales Director Position for Metal Packaging Solutions at Sun Chemical / DIC.
Paul Finnegan has vast experience of leading sales teams providing engineered products and services to the world’s leading manufacturers. His first day with Unimaq was at Asia Can Tech 2022 and he has hit the ground running in his task of achieving the company’s very ambitious growth plans. Paul will be speaking about the fantastic opportunities the Circular Economy, the impact of Scope 3 Emissions and the drive to Net Zero present the industry, highlighting advances in High-Speed Decorators and the benefits of LED Ultraviolet Mass Base Rim Coater systems.
David Williamson is a regular contributor at Cantech conferences, having been with Baofeng since they started exporting in 2013. Prior to joining Baofeng he was with Nafcel in a similar role, so has great experience of the world drinks EOE market. David is based here in Thailand, living down the coast where the air is cleaner.

He was employed by the Ardagh Group and its predecessors in a variety of roles including finance, operations, commercial, strategic development and divisional leadership.
Brand Solution Consultant
With a degree in Print and Photographic Technology and a postgraduate diploma in Colour Application Technology, Raf Mulla has worked in the graphical industry over 30 years. He is currently a Senior Solutions Architect at X-Rite Pantone, where he is leading the implementation of digital color standards and digital color workflow for CPG Brands and the beverage can industry. As part of the X-Rite Pantone’s Global Brand Team, Raf has global experience and exposure to products, services and solutions for the entire packaging supply chain to improve time to market, to reduce waste and to increase color accuracy and color consistency.
Regulatory Affairs Analyst
Adrine joined Crown in 2021 and currently his role is to provide regulatory and sustainability support for Crown’s metal packaging business and customers in Asia Pacific. His main area of expertise includes topics such as Food Contact Materials, Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) and other key sustainability – related issues impacting the industry.
Dave joined the Belvac in 2007 as the Sr. Vice President of Operations and then an expanded role as Executive Vice President in 2013. In 2022, he assumed his current role as President. With over 16 years of experience at Belvac, he has overseen many advancements including the latest high speed Necking Technology with Intelligent Manufacturing Systems, Lean Manufacturing Systems, Belvac’s Can Manufacturing Pilot Line, and many product line expansions with Bottle Can Systems, Ceramic Tooling, Decorators, Bodymakers, Cupping Systems and Integration Services. Prior to Belvac he worked for Ingersoll-Rand for 12 years as a Plant Operations Manager, running several air compressor and tool manufacturing facilities. Dave has an MBA from Murray State University in Kentucky and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Tri-State University in Angola, Indiana.
Mr. S N Nagar, CEO of the Company is a Post Graduate in Management Sciences & Business Administration. He has almost four decades of extensive experience in engineering and industrial packaging industry, with leading Multinational and Indian corporate business houses. In his earlier roles he has worked as Global head and has extensively traveled and lived overseas. He is responsible for strategizing Saspack’s long term business plans based on the policies and strategies aligned to the vision and mission of the company. He keeps track of dynamic market conditions which influence the long term goals of Saspack Ventures. As CEO of the company, he also leads the Business development and strategic alliances for the company’s growth.
Mr Ikeda joined Toyo Ink SC Holdings (Japan) in 2003 and has been engaged in new development of can coating products particularly external over print vanish, and BPA-NI internal spray lacquer for aluminium beverage cans. He was promoted to general manager of the can coating Technical Department in 2020 and has been working as a project executive at Toyo Ink (Thailand) since April 2023.
With over 20 years of experience, he is responsible for expanding wide coating products of beverage and food cans to global customers.
With experience in sales and marketing for abrasives and printing machines, customer solutions through image processing have become a vocation for Robert. Working at Ibea for 5 years and now as Head of Sales always keeping an eye on the quality of canmakers worldwide.
Gustavo joined the can making industry in 1995 having the privilege to participate in several projects supplying complete DRD, and twist caps lines in diverse markets, from Europe to Australasia. In his early years, he also sold metal printing equipment from Crabtree of Gateshead and EOE lines from Stolle and Service Tool, earning valuable experience in these fields.
After getting more involved in the manufacturing of can making machinery, he was able to make some technical developments on different equipment, including an invention for ends feeders that was patented in 2003.
As of today, he is sharing his experience with the can making industry offering solutions that, not only reduce energy and material cost significantly, but also cope with the latest ecological regulations.

‘Leak detection, all you need to know’
Tim is Regional Sales Manager for Sencon with over 30 years’ experience of can making products. He worked as an electrical apprentice, a production operative, then as a field service engineer before taking up his current role with responsibility for technical sales in China, Asia and Australasia since 2005. Sencon specialises in gauging and testing for the 2- and 3-piece can market, as well as smart sensors and in-process inspection systems for both cans and ends, having pioneered the use of LED illumination for leak testing more than 25 years ago.
