Since then, Andrew has held a number of management roles in both the Engineering and Sales departments at CMbE, gaining vast technical experience and knowledge on all CMbE machines and equipment.

Kalvis Jaunarajs is the Director of Global Business Development at IPS.   He has a degree in mechanical engineering and extensive experience in new product development.  Kalvis first entered the can industry in 2004, where he worked in Research and Development at Ball Corporation.  Kalvis has been with IPS since 2011, where he has helped successfully launched numerous product lines and services, including the IPS CanSCHOOL and the IPS RapidSORT (HFI sorting system).

Borpit Intawiwat has worked for INX International for over 30 years. He started out as a Research Chemist developing overprint varnishes for the offset market before heading into Metal Decorating where he helped to further the development of NoVar, LoVOC and Digital ink systems. Over the years he’s held positions such as Tech Service Chemist, Metal Deco R&D Manager and Process Chemist. He is currently the Director of Metal Ink Process Technology where he oversees the improvement and efficiencies in the manufacturing of metal decorating ink.

He is a past recipient of the NAPIM Award for Technical Achievement and continues to share his expertise at the NAPIM Summer Course held in Clemson, South Carolina.

For the past 8 years, Marko has been employed at NPB Automation in the marketing department as a technical salesman, but is today specialized in marketing and market development.

Daniel Hilfiker represents the third generation of Swiss engineers managing Pneumofore, the world’s oldest rotary vacuum pumps and air compressor manufacturer, celebrating more than 90 years of expertise. Daniel graduated as Mechanical Engineer at the Federal Technical Institute of Zürich, Switzerland, in 1993. He is personally engaged in R&D with strong commitment for lowest environmental impact which corresponds to minimal operational costs. He participates to worldwide conferences on regular basis, as his pneumatic theory and products are applied in many sectors including container glass production, can making, aerospace, medicine, food, petrochemical and more. Daniel is the former President of the Italian Association of Air Compressors and Vacuum Pumps Manufacturers and past Council Member of Pneurop, the European Association of Manufacturers of Compressors and Vacuum Pumps.

With over 16 years of experience at Belvac, he has overseen many advancements including the latest high speed Necking Technology with Intelligent Manufacturing Systems, Lean Manufacturing Systems, Belvac’s Can Manufacturing Pilot Line, and many product line expansions with Bottle Can Systems, Ceramic Tooling, Decorators, Bodymakers, Cupping Systems and Integration Services. Prior to Belvac he worked for Ingersoll-Rand for 12 years as a Plant Operations Manager, running several air compressor and tool manufacturing facilities. Gustavo joined the can making industry in 1995 having the privilege to participate in several projects supplying complete DRD, and twist caps lines in diverse markets, from Europe to Australasia. In his early years, he also sold metal printing equipment from Crabtree of Gateshead and EOE lines from Stolle and Service Tool, earning valuable experience in these fields.

After getting more involved in the manufacturing of can making machinery, he was able to make some technical developments on different equipment, including an invention for ends feeders that was patented in 2003.

As of today, he is sharing his experience with the can making industry offering solutions that, not only reduce energy and material cost significantly, but also cope with the latest ecological regulations.

Tim is Regional Sales Manager for Sencon with over 30 years’ experience of can making products. He worked as an electrical apprentice, a production operative, then as a field service engineer before taking up his current role with responsibility for technical sales in China, Asia and Australasia since 2005. Sencon specialises in gauging and testing for the 2- and 3-piece can market, as well as smart sensors and in-process inspection systems for both cans and ends, having pioneered the use of LED illumination for leak testing more than 25 years ago.
