Asia CanTech 2020, The Virtual Show
2020 saw Asia CanTech brought to life in a virtual fashion. At a time when face-to-face contact remains limited, CanTech International‘s new online event provided a unique opportunity to bring the world’s can makers and suppliers together in a new and immersive, digital exhibition and conference.
When visitors were not browsing the show floor or networking, they were able to view presentations and learn more about issues such as sustainability or metal decorating.
In total, we had over 140 attendee registrations from all over the world. There were over 100 webinar views and more than 1,000 tabletop views. With 24/7 access on demand available for the month. Clients take the opportunity to login as all tabletop and webinar content available until 23rd December with visitors contacting exhibitors directly through email shown in their chat area.
All in all, there was plenty of activity and I do hope that everyone enjoyed the experience. I’m sure that everyone is looking forward to meeting again in person, but these types of events do represent a different way of doing things. Although this is usually a well-travelled sector you may start to see some more permanent changes to the way businesses do things. For me personally, you can’t beat face-to-face contact, but one thing this crisis has shown is that the can sector gets things done – whatever the circumstances. You should all take great pride in that.
For now, the show isn’t over, but I’ll spare you my singing.
